Maine Maritime Museum Phippsburg Artifacts Display

200th Anniversary Celebration Day on Saturday,
July 26th

  • Parade at 11:00 a.m. on Route 209 from Stoneybrook Road to the Fire Station.  Route 209 will be open to alternating one way traffic from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. while the parade participants line up and then completely closed from 11:00 a.m. to the completion of the parade (approximately one hour).  Detour from High Street (Route 209) in Bath to Campbell Pond Road, to Meadowbrook Road, to Basin Road to Sebasco Road back on to Route 209 in Ashdale.  Spectators should gather by 10:30 a.m. along the route.

    Parade Participant Rules
  • Old Fashioned Lobster Bake at Cushman Field (next to school) at 12:30 p.m.  $20.00 per person for Lobster, $12.00 per person for Chicken.  Tickets are available at the Town Hall, Bisson’s Center Store, and Pine Tree Service Center or from any Recreation Commission Member (Michelle Sloan, Joanne Wells, Cathy Thomas or Emily Swizdor).
  • Entertainment by: “The Salt Water Hillbilly” (12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.); “T’ Acadie” (1:40 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.); Contra Dance (2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.); Jay “Tweed” Johnson and “Shy Green” (3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.).  Bring lawn chairs.  FREE.
  • Community Photo at 3:00 p.m. and Blueberry Pie Eating Contest at 3:30 p.m. FREE.

Shuttle will run from Town Hall Parking Lot to the Parade Staging Area (Stoneybrook/209) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for parade participants.

Phippsburg Sportsmen’s Association (272 Main Road).   

Bus will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Town Hall Parking Lot to these locations.
