  •  The Seasonal Taxpayers Meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12th - Fire Station.

  •  Last call for the 200th Time Capsule Submissions.

  •  Back by popular demand:  The 2nd Annual “Blessing of the Fleet and Boat Parade” will be held in Sebasco Harbor at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23rd.  Participants and spectators please go to Boat Parade or stop by the Town Office For more information.              

  • There will be a Retirement Celebration in honor of Transfer Station Operator Martha Smith who has served the Town of Phippsburg for over 26 years.  Martha will be retiring at the end of August and will be missed by us all.  The Celebration will be a drop-in event with light refreshments provided. It will be held at the Fire Station from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, August 27th.  Please stop in and thank Martha for her many years of dedicated service.

  • There are still a few Phippsburg 200th Anniversary T-shirts and Sweatshirts on sale at the Town Office as well as several remaining pieces of pottery and a couple of flags (all at cost).  No more will be made.

  •      Would you like to contribute to your community?  The Town of Phippsburg has openings on the following volunteer Boards, Commissions, and Committees:
    Community Access TV Committee (3 year term)
    Historic Preservation Commission (2 year term)
    Public Safety Advisory Committee (2 year term)
    Recreation Commission (1 year term)
    Town Landings Committee (3 year term)
    Town Lands Management Committee (3 year and 2 year terms). 

    Anyone interested in serving on one of these Boards, Committees or Commissions can download a volunteer application from or stop by Town Hall at 1042 Main Road (weekdays from 9-1, 2-5).  Deadline date for applications is Friday, July 24th.
